I recently purchased another Mini Speed to salvage
for parts (lensboard, lens, Kalart Rangefinder parts,
etc)
The back is not Graflok. It has ground gla ss screen
(no freznel lens) and the takes sheet film holders.
An upper and lower leaf spring keep the back and
the film plane of the film holder flush to the camera.
It came with a beautiful condition Graflex Optar 101mm
f/4.5. The lens is coated and cleaned up very nicely.
The Graphex shutter is also very clean and operates
smoothly.
The camera's serial # is 355522
the len' serial # is 466187.
The lens appears to be in much better condition than
the camera. I wonder if this is a marriage. I also
wonder how this lens compares to my Zeiss Tessar
105mm f/4.5 (apparently not coated)
