I did run into a snag. I was able to set adjust
for infinity, 25 and 15' using the rear (back)
scale. But when I tried to adjust the 8 - 4',
using the front indicator I could see no
difference in the rangefinder when I moved the
front indicator (3 on fig F).
I think I will try
again in bright sunlight as opposed to night.
I couldn't read the figure at the bottom of pp 8
and I think I ignored their instruction to have
the upper eyepiece at the same level,
(height from the ground). But it looks like
an optical bench. And a little more precision and
care than I was taking.
I am having fun. And seeing the image snap
into focus on the ground gla ss and then to
view the rangefinder and find both images
coincident is my kind of hobby and joy.
