It took me several iterations before it came in at
all distances. I found the same thing you did.
I had to go back and re-set the eccentric infinity
adjuster on the focussing track after each try at
the closer distances. It will snap in eventually.
Just go back and check infinity after each time
you move one of the scales.
The numbers for the 15' and 4' scales are pretty
close to where I wound up.
