I thought the whole reason for the Scheinder Xenar was it's a budget lens. Stuck in my brain is the idea Kodak started using some german lenses to save money post war. I also have the same thought stuck about Graflex using them for the same reason. Also I don't think Scheinder QC had the greatest rep for quite awhile.

Results with my Graftar were pretty good; I was pleasantly surprised. The lens and shutter are in pristine condition, as was the Century itself when I bought it; I doubt if either were used much.

I'm seriously contemplating doing some hand-held work (I just re-installed the frame finder, which I had removed to allow increased movements with the 65mm), after I re-calibrate the Kalart for the 103. That self-cocking Century (i.e., Wolly) shutter is the cat's meow.
