I have two very "rookie" questions. I want to try
using individual sheet film, but I'm not sure of a few
things about loading the film in the film holders.
BTW, I'm using 4X5 film and trying to load it in Lisco
film holders. Before loading I went into the dark
room (my bathroom) and removed one sheet of film to
practice with in the light. I immediately noticed
that it was almost impossible to keep my fingerprints
off of the film. How do you handle the film to avoid
doing this, or will a few fingerprints hurt anything?
My second question is which side of the film is the
emulsion side? I'm keeping the notches in the upper
right corner,as has been suggested, and by doing it
that way the light colored pinkish side is facing me.
Is that correct? Thanks again to all for your help.
