Carl has the right idea. I find that if I wash and dry my hands thoroughly just before loading the film, I don't get fingerprints on the film. By the way, I like to load using a changing bag. It's very easy once you get the hang of it, and I can load a bunch of film while watching Simpsons reruns.

: Thanks Carl. Appreciate your help.
: : Ron,
: : You did the right thing to practice loading the holder in room light. Yes, the dull side with the funny color is the emulsion. Back in the old day when I got mixed up the the dark, we used to touch the film to our lower lip, th emulsion side would be sticky to your lip,( Now days I am not sure this is recommended because of newer health concerns )
: : Finger prints.. You could wear photographic white gloves but I think few people do. Make sure your hands are clean and DRY. If you only hold the film at the very edge. There is about 1/8 inch of unused area arround the image area.
: : Regards
