: Hi Henry,
: Thanks for the reply. That's good news about the lens, I may pick one up myself. By the by, I picked up a horseman 6x9 back the other day and am very happy with it so far.

: Here's a possible solution to your lens stop problem. I have a 65 Optar (not that great a lens) which normally rests right on the crack of the bed when in proper position. The other day I wanted to use the drop bed with it so I could use some rise with the lens.

: I happen to have a second set of stops which sit slightly recessed on the front board. By using a square spacer I was able to set the lens placement squarely in the rear by using these forward stops, drop the bed and then focus on the ground glass.

: You should be able to accomplish the same thing with your 47. Put a set of infinity stops up front then use a spacer to set the lens board square in the rear. This consistency should allow you to make a distance scale to match the lens.

: By the way have you tried adjusting the Kalart for the 47 or any other wide lens?

I haven't tried the 47mm & Rangefinder. Scale focusing would be adequate with such a great depth of field.
Your idea of a spacer behind bed stops is a really good idea and I will try it. Thanks, Henry

: Later, DL
