Hi,
I bought a 270mm Rodagon APO tele rotolar in graphic
synchro-compur shutter on a super graphic lensboard on
eBay. The lens looks brand new. It has a chrome front.
Upon further inspection, I find marks on the rear of
the front glass. The tiny lines crisscross and cover
the entire surface of the lens. They look just like
frost trails on a window.
I took the lens apart, and I can remove the lines with
a swab. I can get my money back, but I'd truly like to
keep the lens. Any ideas what I'm facing? Is it a
fungus, the coating, or maybe some old oil residue
that I'm removing? Please help!!
