No it's not.....
according to the 11th edition of Graphic Graflex photography (1958)
to get a Flash Supermatic shutter to work with electronic flash you
have to short out an internal resistor. This may be done by taking
a short piece of unvarnished copper wire (one strand from a light
cord will do) and gentely loosening the bi-post terminal nearest
the press-focus button...DO NOT loosen it too much..just enough to
get a loop or two of the wire under it. Now,tighten it back down
and loosen the screw just above it and wrap a turn or two of the
wire around it and then retighten it. The shutter will now sync
with an electronic flash unit, Please note that you do not have to
cock the flash sync lever for the shutter to work with a electronic
flash. The Supermatic X shutter will work with electronic flash
with no modifcations unless you use it with a strobe with a very
high tripping current. A strobe of that type will require that the
contacts inside the shutter be bent to make better contact. I'd let
a repair man do that job.
