I am unable to get a sharp picture on my Century
Graphic. I'm using a Schneider 105 4.5 Xenar,
focusing very accurately on the ground glas-,
getting a sharp image here (using a loupe) from
edge to edge top to bottom at infinity. Shooting
chrome film, bright daylight (exposures
60-125/f16-22+), on tripod, with an RH-8 back
(back spaces properly, looks clean, even has the
small rollers on the sides of the frame window). I
make the film tight before closing the back and
advancing. The exposures are right on the money
but the film keeps coming out soft. Ground glas-
has the matte side toward the lens, is tight and
unbroken. Lensboard is square, with no swings or
tilts. I can only think it's the camera back. Are there
any other suggestions? Is there anyway I can
check film plane depth verses ground glas- depth?
