Bert is correct - you are limited by the size of
the lensboard. However, there is a way to extend
that. I used a Zeiss 80mm Planar on my 2x3
Century. The back element size was larger than
the lensboard! However, I was able to unscrew the
rear element, mount the lens, remove the back, then insert and rescrew the rear element from the
rear through the bellows. Doing it that way, you
are then limited only by the size of the rear
element vis-a-vis the bellows limitations. Also,
you might, or might not be able to close the
camera with such a large lens mounted [I was lucky
and could close the camera]. So, don't give up at
first blush - try all the options if it is a lens
you really want to use.
