: I recently purchased a 2.25 x 3.25 Speed Graphic. How
: can I tell if it's the "Miniature" or the "Rangerfinder
: 2x3". The sports finder is a swing up from under the
: lens rather than a lift up. It has a Graflok back
: which may not be original. How can I determine the
: date of my camera. I can seem to find the serial
: number.

The serial number is on the under side of the top cross-piece of the body, so whe you look at it it will be in the upper right corner but inside, so the numbers face the top of the bellows.
If you have an Ektar lens the first two letters of the lens' serial number will give you a clue to its age. Write out the numbers 0-9 then under that the letters C A M E R o S i t y. Most of the mini-speeds will start with the letter E since they were made in the 40s. Let me know what the serial number is and I may be able to narrow it down a bit.
