I have had to do that with most of mine. The
metal plate would jam the mechanism.
Not a difficult job. Just keep track of how things
came apart and don't lose the screws.
I used Pliobond on both the plate and the body of
the magazine to glue the plate back in. My felts
were in good shape. You can find felt in the
five-and-dime. It is a light trap, so make sure
it is the same thickness.
