: : Graflex provided Focusing Scales as sets for very
: : specific focal length lenses. On the reverse of each
: : scale there is a Serial Number for that focal length.
: : Does any former Graflex employer- or is there any
: : data in Graflex's archives listing what the Code
: : Numbers for each Focusing Scale?
: ----------------------
: Have never seen any listings--I have parts manuals
: for the Pacemakers--and it states "Calibrated
: scales are not procurable separately--they must
: be matched to actual focal length" which means to
: me that you buy their lens--and they provide the
: scale
When a lens was sent to Graflex it was to measure
the exact focal length, not the nominal stated
focal length. They then matched a scale. They did
that by selecting from their array of scales, each
of which were engraved with part numbers. The
question I asked was "do you know the coding
system used by Graflex"? Do you know it"? Or
where I might get that information?
