Hi
I have some dust particles under protecting filter on this lens. Can someone please explaine me how to remove this protective filter? Looks like this filter is installed by manufacturer.

Hi Newbie,
If by "protective filter" you mean it has a series VI filter in front of the lens elements, then you can very carefully turn the large outer ribbed hood counter-clockwise and it should unscrew, thus allowing access to the filter slot. This is the same ribbed hood/ring which, when turned clockwise, normally would cock the shutter.
