I've seen a later model Century graphic with a blue rangefinder image. Upon closer inspection, I learned that the blue color was coming from the 1/2 mirrored beam splitter glass. Is the blue color factory?

And I've only noticed it on Century cameras too. But I haven't really researched it enough to say that blue image = model E6 Kalart or anything.

I have seen a couple of top handle Crowns with a press on yellow filter--they just pressed on the outside metal ring--, which may give the impression that the other side is blue.

I acquired a factory replacement Kalart RF, brand new in the box last year----it has the blue tinted beam splitter in it.....
terrific contrast....and it was for a 2x3 Century! Assume that the factory had made that improvement after the Century was produced, and that it would have been available for all Graphic model formats as a replacement! Bert

So who has factory replacement rangefinders still available? I am assuming Fred Lustig.

I should have stated that the new RF came with a camera I purchased, and that it was long enough ago, that the prev owner had gotten it from Graflex Inc. (owned by Singer by then!) But Lustig would be about the only source for a replacement these days! Bert
