Hi, was just screamed at by my wife to double-time it to the tv set for a Graphic sighting in the movie "Men of Honor." There is a scene in which Cuba Gooding, Jr. is photographed as he is sitting up in a hospital bed. Anyway i quickly swiped away the remote to do some still-pausing (the movie being on DVD). You can clearly see a Pacemaker Graphic (unsure whether it is a Speed or Crown) with BOTH a Kalart rangefinder AND the later top rangefinder. Could it be possible that this camera came from the factory like that, or was it (more likely) modified by someone at a later date? If it was modified, someone went through some effort to do so, because wouldn't the top-rangefinder have had to have been there first then someone may have added the Kalart? Not only was the Kalart added but it also had the encircling bracket and the 2773 tube mounted to that....and is it possible that both rangefinders could be made to work at the same time, independent from one another? |

Sounds like so you could swap lens focal lengths and have still have a rangefinder ready to go. Russ |

The body of a Pacemaker speed still has the proper holes for the Kalart RF and the Graflite encircling bracket, so yes it could be mounted without too much trouble. And since the top RF picks up on the right side of the yoke (rails) and the Kalart on the left.... yes you could have to RFs, probably set up for two focal lenghts. |
