I can fit it onto a series D 4x5
but cant get infinity focus

| I think I already told you. The mount's too long. The shortest lens usually used on a D is a 190, and it is much stubbier than the aero ektar. |

Becareful if you try a recesses board or mount that you don't bang the mirror.
