Hello,
I am going to buy British wood 1/4 plate camera and consider to adapt back part from Graflex 3 1/4 x 4 1/4... Can someone explain me if this model was ever equiped with 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 spring back, including ground glass and can I buy such sized Graflex film holders? (double film holders?).
Thanks. |

Quarter plate is 3.25 x 4.25 in., so a Graphic back might fit with perhaps a little fiddling. Graphic press cameras were made in that size and are usually cheaper than Graphics in the other formats because the 3.25 x 4.25 size is obsolete. An entire camera will be easier to find than the back by itself. NB: you want a Graphic spring back, not a Graflex SLR back which takes a special slotted film holder. |

Thanks Billy.
In British wooden 1/4 plates the backs are reversed.
Would it be somehow possible with Graphic spring back mounted? |
