I have a 6x9 focus panel that provides a miserably dim view when used with the F8.0 47mm SuperAngulon lens on my Graflex XLSW. I am thinking of canibalizing 2 Hassy screens that I have on order to fit the full width of this focus unit -- One is a full-screen grid version---both are the older, non-AcuteMatte versions.
Has any one tried this? How much of an improvement would you expect with the older Hassy screens or the newer AcuteMattes---especially in the corners with the 47mm?
I've seen 4x5 Focusing Panels with the Ektalite Field condensers --- How much improvement did they provide over the plain gg's? Are Ektalites available to easily use with the 6x9 gg focus panels.

Go to "Fresnel question" on the Speed Graphic Help section of this forum, and see my post, especially the second paragraph. What I refer to there as a fresnel is also known as an Ektalite screen. I purchased mine used, in one piece, so I can't answer your question about using the Hassy screens in combination.
