That much for a camera that has no focus panel and a fungoid mediocre lens ??????? Does that mean my Pacemaker Speed 23 with a Planar and ten roll holders and an assortment of other top notch lenses is worth 12,000 bucks ???? Probably not, eh? C'mon, it has a nice case, too......... _________________ Glenn

Whoa...
That's interesting.
So I looked at some more.
A Century also sold for about $305
And a Crown 23 sold for over $400.
time to sell?
Geez, that $600 Century has the great and formidable Wollensak Gratar 103mm. Impressive.
So what does that make my super clean Century with excellent 101mm Optar worth, all original. I figure at least $800. Heck I've got a nice one with Trioptar, 101 Graflar, 80mm Xenotar, another Trioptar with no RF, and about six others in various quality. Also have an assortment of very clean Crown and Speed 23 series cameras, and Miniatures. How about a near Perfect Speed with 150mm Symmar-S. Hot deal, only $3000 and ready to shoot. comes with two double sided holders and one sheet of exposed film of unknown type.
I can scratch the lens for you, add simulated Schneideritis if so desired. Fast payment includes a treatment of simulated old camera smell, and express shipping (when I feel like it).
This is a rare find. Only 900,000 were made, so get this while it is available !!! It also belonged to my grandfather's collection, but I have no knowledge of camera stuff in general. Or was it an estate sale. I can't remember I lie so much...
I haven't been looking at the site for a long time but picked up a bunch of Supermatic parts and such and saw not only the Graphics above, but curiosity found me looking around the last few days and seems prices are up. |

This one could heat up too: ebay item 160396786238. Have a look at the bids. Bets on the top price?
BTW, the odd bid in the middle is mine, just adding a little spice to the mix!!
Cheers,

Speed & Crown Graphics fetch very much higher prices in Europe, they aren't as common as in the US so demand is stronger.
It's common to see Graphics listed for up to £400 ($640) Buy It Now.
British made MPP's particularly the MkVII and VIII fetch even higher prices, but they were based on the 1939 Linhof so have far more movements etc, and so are Technical rather than Press cameras.

1banjo,
Those are kind of rare in any form. Noticed that there were only two bidders for that rack.
Usually they are found without the rubber adapter ring that provides space for another 1.5 ounces of chemicals in the 120 tank to completely cover the film.
Mine came without the adapter ring. I just use it in a two reel tank and rotate the tank instead of inverting it (someday I'll put a reel on top of the rack and try inverting it). I usually only have six films in the rack so there is plenty of space to get fresh chemicals on the film.
This morning I noticed that there is one on eBay without the adapter ring, so If you are interested, go for it. |
