My Speed Graphic's serial # is 847142, can anyone tell me when she was built?

looks like its a 1950 846237 to about 860000 are 1950

Thanks Banjo, it's nice to know how old she is. I just start shooting with the camera on Christmas day and am having great fun. Later this month I'm going to New York and wanted a camera that would be easy to carry. Kind of cool to be taking a camera that darn near 60 years old.

Roger;
As an additional check on the age of the camera, if the original lens is an Ektar, and is still on your Speed Graphic, if it is a 1950 lens the lens serial number should start with "RY".

No Ektar, the camera came with a Wollensak 135mm Raptar in a Rapax shutter. I have no idea if the lens is original to the camera, but it appears to be.
