|
|
I have a new (to me ) speed graphic and the focal plane shutter feels a bit stiff and rumbly. I have oiled the shutter rollers, but I think some of the gearwork in the shutter needs cleaning.
I want to remove the side panels but I don't know how to remove the wingnut that you use to roll up the shutter. It looks like it has a little bar keeping it in. Does one hammer it out?
Does anyone have a link to a repair manual or an exploded parts diagram? |

Take a look at this from very recent posting here:

FYI this site has an excellent search feature. Please feel free to use it.
Dave _________________ I guess that I could get a digital camera but it would be obsolete in a couple of years (three tops). Or I could use my 3x4 Anniversary Speed Graphic. Heck, it's been obsolete for 50 years. That's way better than digital. |

I did actually find that thread, but that talks about the lower tensioning knob and not the upper shutter winding knob. |
