When were the Vulcanoid cases introduced?

Anyone know roughly (or exactly!) what year the Graflex Vulcanoid cases were introduced?

I have one that will only accept the reflectors of the first Graflex (lightsaber) flash and yet my others will accept the later Graflite type reflectors without a problem, as there is more room in the reflector compartments.

The older(?) Vulcanoid case also has an extra lens holder slot at the rear of the case that holds a Pacemaker Speed/Crown lens board but not an Anniversary size one.

It seems strange the case would take the earlier reflectors and a later lens board! Any ideas?
