I recently purchased a Crown Graphic with the serial number of 977422. Can anyone tell me when it was made? thanks

Serial number 977422 is in a batch of serial numbers (975909 - 978408) assigned on 8/17/64. The camera was probably made no later than a year after that. Graflex took about 10 months to use up the previous batch of 2500 serial numbers.

thanks for the help; i did some other research and found that by reading the code on the bottom of the focusing rail together with your input i believe it was made in 1965.

The list of responses to the defunct Serial Number Savy forum compiled by Shutterfinger lists 440064 as a 2x3 Crown built in 1947 and 445232 as a crown built in 1947. On the basis of that I assume that your Pacemaker CG is also a 1947 camera.
