We'll find out what modifications I need once I get some film through the camera (it should be in sometime tomorrow). I probably won't do anything as the primary purpose of this camera is to learn the Zone system once I get there I'll probably end up getting either an 8x10 camera and maybe then go with the roll film back for this one. Until I figure out what features this camera lacks that I want I'll stick with it the way it is. |

With sheet film I don't have a roll film back yet and I won't unless I get a graflok back. |

You can always get an Adapt-A-Roll 620. Slips in like a sheet film holder, feeds perfectly well from a 120 spool but must take up on a 620 spool. |

I'm working on finding one right now which seems to be a fairly difficult task. |

Hello monkeykoder,
Adapt-A-Rolls are indeed hard to find, also a hassle to operate (you have to use a 620-size take-up spool). Look in your private messages -- I may have an easier solution for you. |

No hurries I plan on figuring out the zone system first anyway. |

Looks like it's for a 2x3 and is the 6x9 format. |

Monkeykoder.
You seem to want learn the zone system but may I offer some advice?
For manual exposure cameras you can simply use the Sunny f16 Rule: In direct sunlight, correct exposure is f16 and shutter speed of 1/film speed. For example for ISO 100 film in direct sunlight use f16 and 1/100th second OR f11 and 1/200th OR f22 and 1/50th OR etc. For partly cloudy open up one stop and for mostly cloudy open up 2 to 2 1/2 stops. If your photos are consistently underexposed, use a slower exposure index. This simple approach can work surprisingly well.
You don't have to drown yourself in learning complicated rules and systems and you don't need to be afraid of making mistakes. It can be hard enough just trying to remember to remove the dark slide. Enjoy your new camera and given some time you can learn and grow in photography.
Regards,
Dave |

There are several 2x3 Adapt A Rolls on the big auction site now. Look to be in good shape. Worth a look, if you are still interested. |
