Well i was going to write and ask if anyone had an idea why my shutter did not want to cock... the miror flipped but the shutter would not release or advance. Turns out after I opened it, a big chunk of broken glass had gotten lodged into the works. Next time, before I test my equipment, I'll give it a better cleaning out!

Jeff,
As always I have a bag full of suggestions,
Gaffers tape for the repairs.....if the interior cloth is intact, you can replace the outside covering with bellows material..I use the rubber side out! You must of coarse dismantle the hood and spread it out flat to do it this way, but it is a fun project!
As for the front door, all were the same formed metal frame....with no side curtains!

I've seen pictures of some front doors with and without side curtains. Somewhere among my mess of a closet I even have some old factory-sealed side curtains... so if I needed them I'd be ready to go. In cleaning things out I found the little release on the bottom of the front standard that unlocks the door, so I'm still discovering things. Now that it's cleaned out and I have the process down pretty solid, I'll have better luck chasing around my friend's 2 1/2 year old little daughter and shooting her with the Verito lens... she's still too energetic to stay still.

Oh yeah, a follow-up: anyone know what sort of adhesive I can use to re-glue the velvet gasket material to the rotating back of the camera? I'm thinking contact cement? Probelms?

And now that I take a closer look, I realize there is a section on REFLEX Graflex cameras. So now I will zip over there, where I will no doubt find the answers to all my questions as they arise.
