If you can manage the developing and then print/scan the negs, B&W 4x5 is really pretty cheap to do.
After all these years, I _still_ don't have my darkroom set up, which may get a chuckle out of Les But next week I start building the walls! Maybe this is the year!
So I contact print. I've also gotten decent result in scanning negs using a light box on top of the neg on my flat bed scanner. Don't know how that would work for color, but for B&W, it ain't bad...
Technically, I'm an electronics tech. Moved into programming. Was an auto tech (mechanics, then body & paint). Also do wood, metal, leather, and sometimes cameras... Gotta have a hobby!
And we are really getting out of topic here

I am quite impressed with your photos and you frank nature in which you describe you postings, it is quite breath of fresh aire to see someone that does quite as well as you do, your postings have been very enjoyable and a pleasent way to spend a few moments reviewing others photography, keep up the good work!

why, thank you, Dave, for your compliments. My frank nature can tend to get me into trouble so I will try to be a little behaved anyway
I should hope to be shooting with the new Speed Graphic this weekend for the first time, so please keep your fingers crossed that all will turn out ok
