I purchased a 15" Raptar telephoto, alphax shutter, a few years ago and mostly use it on my old speed graphic focusing on the gg. I can close focus to about 7 or 8 feet.
I also have a super graphic. I got p155 and p157 cams on ebay dirt cheap.(just out of curiosity)
The 155 didn't work, but the 157 matched. The only problem is that the front standard has to run off the front of the focusing track by about an inch to be set at infinity.
Any ideas as to why Graflex even bothered with a super graphic cam in this focal length? Was there another telephoto design of this length that didn't require the bellows draw of the 15" Raptar? |

And 3 years later, here I am with a 15" Tele-Optar and a Super with cam. Same problem... The front standard woudld have to be off the front of the rails in order for the cam to work...
So, does anyone know how Graflex managed to mount the 15" lenses and have the cams work??? Was there an extension lens board???
Someone out there must know???

Okay, as usual, post first then read....
According tot he Super manual:
"When using the 38cm Tele-Optar lens install special rangfinder extension bracket which should be fitted to cameras by a Graflex Service Department."
So, who has ever seen one? Would anyone have one?? Would anyone have a picture of one???
At least I know how they did it and gives me the idea on how to possibly make something myself. Just have to position infinity stops at the end of the rails. Move the standard there and lock things up. Then move the focus to infinty and find out how much the rear of the rails and rangfinder bracket have to be extended. then figure out a way to extend both... More fun
