I did some searching, but just want to confirm my info. I have a 4x5 Speed Graphic which had the Optar 135mm lens on it. I bought a Ektar 127mm f 4.7 lens to replace the Optar. The Optar hole size is 1 5/16 inches on my board, which if my info is correct is a Copal #0 hole size. I'm reusing my lens board from the Optar to the Ektar and I'm wondering if the Ektar will fit into the hole size for the Optar, or if some resizing will be needed. I read the Ektar may also be a Copal #0 size, but I just want to confirm this is correct.

The Copal size is either 32mm or 36mm. I'm guessing 32mm. That converts to my 1 5/16 inch measurement. If anyone knows the hole size for their Ektar 127mm let me know. Thanks again.

Ok. Thanks guys. I guess it can vary between those two sizes. I'll have to see when mine arrives. Mine is in the S. Compur shutter. I know Copal #1 is 42mm, so I wonder where 38mm fits in if Copal #0 is 32mm?
I'll have to see the best way to get the hole machined bigger if it is the larger size. I know a machine shop locally I could probably get it done at.

The Graflex lens by Wollensak, made the Raphax shutters the # 2 was 36.5 mm.
and a 38 mm. hole in the #0 board. The #00 board hole, 33.3 - 34 mm.
And 1 5/16" = 1.312" to convert to mm. , multiply by 25.4
A good source for measuring tools, etc.
www.grizzly.com
and thier catalog is free too!.
