My wife purchased a Speed Graphic Camera for me some time ago. I have never used it but have kept it as a keepsake. My wife purchased a box (25 Sheets of TMax 100) of Film for me for Xmas.
I have no instruction manual and think I have it basically figured out. I realize that I have to load the holders in total darkness.
When I open the Box of film How do I know which is the Proper way to insert the film into the holders? How do I know which is the emulsion side. I also understand that there are notches in the film. I am not sure how to load them.

After reading the thread mentioned in previous post, test the dark room by setting there for five ( 5 ) minutes with the lights off then hold your hand six ( 6 ) inches from your face. If you can see your hand, find the light leaks and patch them. If not position the film holders where you can find them, pick up the box of film and cut the sealing tape. Remove the outer cover, you now have a 2 piece box, open it. The film is now in a sealed envelope, open it by cutting or tearing on end off. The film is supported by cardboard on both sides of the stack. Slide one ( 1 ) sheet of film out handleing by the edges only. Position so that the narrow distance is left to right. Feel the edges and locate the notches. When the notches are away from you and on your right the emulsion side is up and ready to go into the film holder. Have fun shooting.
