I've research this a bit but just wondering if anyone out there can confirm that a 240/5.5 Tele-Arton lens fit onto a Century Graphic lensboard?
I'm looking for a good telephoto lens for my Century and this one seems to be well regarded.
TIA,

| Pardon my ignorance, but do you know what shutter it is in? If it is in a #1, no problem. I use a couple of lenses in Copal 1 on my Century, Compur 1s should be the same size.

Dan,
I am uncertain if it is a #1 shutter, but will confirm. It is a Compur press shutter (1-400, T, B, plus press button), which is exactly the same shutter on my Xenotar, so I am thinking it will fit.

| Another thought. If the rear cell's outer diameter is > 48 mm it won't clear the front standard's throat. This is not disabling, just unscrew the cell, put the board on, screw the cell in from behind.
I once asked the late Steve Grimes whether doing this risked damaging the threads, in the shutter or on the rear cell. He told me not to be so neurotic.
Cheers,

That sounds like Steve! A friend of mine worked for him for a short time. At one point my friend was doing something on a shutter and Steve walked by and said, "I'm not sure how I'd do it, but it sure wouldn't be that way!"
