IF it's like the Top RF pacemaker graphics I have, you push in on one side of the battery door (it's spring loaded) and give it a slide in either direction. One side will pop out and you can then remove the cover. 2 AA batteries, facing opposite directions can then be placed in there.
Now, That said, the fact that the door is On there suggests that there are batteries inside already (or a wood block used to hold the door) as the cover won't stay on without them. Chances are pretty good, if batteries are in there, they are corroded and so is all the contact stuff inside for the range finder light. If that's the case, you should remove the top viewfinder (2 screws on top) and clean everything up..
Good luck.. Jeff.

2 AA or LR-6, not sure what they call them in Italy.

Dear friends JSILADI and LES,
Thanks a lot to both of you for your prompt and useful information.
Thank God, there was a spacer behind the cover, not a rotten battery!
I have already fitted the proper batteries
and the night/function rangefinder works!
Again: thank you. Lino Manfrotto/Italy
P.S.: wonderful mean, Internet! |
