Has a circled W between f4.5 and rapatr.
Does anyone have the Specs on this beauty?
It's in a Alphax press.
Thanks,
Charles

It's a drafted version of the tele-Optar. As with most tele lenses, good but not spectacular performance. |

This one is not a tele design, it focuses infinity at 9 3/4-9 7/8 inch depending on how one measures (tele optar 10in stated to focus at 6.1 inch in the vade). Would like to know angle of view, coverage (8x10 definately, 11x14 maybe) and other so what tech stuff.

Okay it took a bit of time for it to sink in. It's odd that this is an LE-2 as I thought the tele optar was an LE-2.
this was probably a second lens for the 8x10 C-1 camera (in civilian life it was a 2D or a clone) It's a tessar, covers 8x10 wide open, might cover 11x14 with dark corners but I doubt it. For general purposes look at the specs for a 10" Tessar.
