Help!

It appears that the Kalart side rangefinder on my 4x5 Crown Graphic is disconnected. Theres a little bar that controls the mirror inside the camera and a bolt attached to the back bed, which i'm guessing is where that bar attaches to.

How do I reattach the bar?

The Kalart rangefinders on my "Graphics" are not connected to the lug on the focusing track. Rather, the rangefinder arm is pushed forward against the lug by a spring, thus following the back and forth movements of the track during focusing.

If the arm is not in contact with the lug on your camera, it may have come loose from the spring-loaded pivot at its upper end, or the problem may be with the spring itself.

There's some good stuff on Kalart rangefinders on this site, and reprinted copies of the Kalart service manual are readily available.
