Xenar 210mm F6.1, is it Multicoated ??

Hello,

I have a Schneider Xenar 210mm F6.1 lens of the modern design, Serial number 13,995,XXX, and I'm wondering if it's coating is an early multicoating or a "single" coating. When I look at the lens under a bring light, I see the following reflections: purple, orangish, and a faint green/yellow. I don't see the really bright and vivid green,purple,orange,etc that I'm used to seeing in modern (made in the 90s) multicoated Schneider lenses...

More generally, does anybody know if there was a date/serial-num after which Schneider multicoated all their lenses? Also, is there a source online for good info about coatings/multicoatings in general (history, benifits, tradeoffs, types thereof, etc) ?

Could not find a 210mmf6.1 xenar.

Charles, go to http://www.schneiderkreuznach.com/archiv/pdf/xr.pdf
for information about the 210/6.1 Xenar.

Given the serial number, the lens asked about was probably made in 1983 and should be multicoated.
