Hi, i recently bought a Pacemaker Speed Graphic w/ side RF and a Graphex Optar 135/4.7 in a Graphex Full Syncromatic shutter. after getting some very thin flash pictures i released the X sync was not working right. so i unscrewed the front element and the front retaining ring, then lifted off the front plate. Well out came this spring and now the 1/400th doesn't work right, there is no tension when moving the shutter speed ring from 1/200 to 1/400. Now i cant figure out where the spring goes! I have uploaded a picture

If anyone could help me find where to put this spring i would greatly appreciate it.

Brandon,
In the picture of the shutter body opened: Flash selector switch is at 5:30ish (hour hand) position; Bi post at the 4:30 position; and the press to focus lever at 2:45. Next to the center of the shutter body at 2:47 or 2:48 is a PIN. Spring goes on that pin, shortest arm down, both arms(legs) of spring facing the outer edge of shutter body approximately parallel to press to focus lever.
Its called the high speed spring and high speed post.

Thanks a-bunch Charles!!
I am glad to have that fixed, now back to the reason i took it apart in the first place, flash sync.
Am i correct that the sync selector should be directly under the dot under the f-x?
The post nearest to the sync switch is pretty loose, and every time you move the post, you move the piece of metal connected to it, witch i assume is enough to knock the sync off? What is the correct position of this piece of metal? my guess is that i should be running along the out side wall of the shutter? Thanks Again!! And Happy Holidays!

I had to decipher the repair manual as I don't have mine disassembled.
Contact assembly B (the post closest to the synch switch) should be parallel to and tight against the shutter body. Contact A (the other post) should ride on insulator and make positive contact with B when shutter fires according to selector lever, the instant the shutter fully opens for F-X, 8-12 milliseconds before full open for red M, 16-20 milliseconds before full open for black M, and not make contact at off. Reform end of contact A to ensure good contact with B. Center of selector lever (if line is worn off) should be under Dot on selector scale.
