: awesome shape. An old
: friend say me shooting at a wedding and told me he had
: an old camera
: gathering dust in his garage. Anyway, here I am
: looking at a large format
: camera for the first time. I shoot mainly 35mm, b &
: w. I roll, develope
: and print my own stuff usually. I also tinker with a
: Richomatic 225 Medium
: format camera I picked up last year.
: Does anyone have any tips, or experience with this
: camera? I'm anxious to
: try it out. It has all sorts of great accessories
: including a polariod
: back, a 220 back, and lots of film holder including a
: Grafmatic film holder
: that looks like it will hold 6 sheets. It even has
: the original manuals
: which I've already read. It's probably been +20 years
: since this camera was
: used last. It appears in great shape. I'm thinking
: about cleaning it up
: myself since it really looks like all it neads is a
: good wiping down. Any
: thoughts?
: My first thoughts are to try some landscapes as a
: test. I don't have a
: seperate light meter so I was thinking about using my
: 35mm for the meter.
: Any and all other helpful advice will be appriciated.
: Thanks.
Been there, done that, recently with a Crown. Suggestion, it
takes some time but what helped me out was reading the many
Q&A's on this Help Board. These guys know what they're talking
about. Also, check out the other pages on this web site. Then check
out http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~qtluong/photography/lf/ which is
Q.-Tuan Luong's large-format home page.
