Zan,
Remove the front and rear optics by unscrewing them ccw. Mix
powdered graphite (hardware store) with lighter fluid
(drugstore)---Ronson brand in the yellow plastic bottle works best.
I use an empty needle-point oiler from the hobby shop as a mixing
container. Liberally douse the innards of the shutter with this
mixture, and run the shutter through all its f-stops and speeds
several times. Repeat the lubrication as needed. If the works are
basically OK---no broken springs, bent parts, etc.,---this ought to
do the trick. The lighter fluid will evaporate rather quickly
leaving a coating of dry graphite powder all over the moving parts
inside the shutter. You may want to gently tap the shutter with a
finger to remove excess powder before reinstalling the optical
elements so powder won't get on the glass. Make sure the fluid has
totally evaporated before reinstalling the optics!
