Don't go crazy with the arm until you've tried a couple other
things first.
I just adjusted my rangefinder and it is working amazingly well, I think I need to fine tune it a little on the close-up scale, but that's another story.
In your case the first thing I would do is check the long scale at the back of the rangefinder and make sure it is in the approximate position for the lens you are using (recommended in the 'adjusting chart' in the rangefinder adjustment section on this site). Take a look at the 'close' adjustment also just to make sure you're not way off here either.
This probably isn't the problem, but it's a good place to start and it will make a difference in your infinity adjustment.
After checking this, readjust the eliptical screw and see what happens.
My guess is that you will need to adjust the prism screw at the very bottom of the rangefinder. This screw tilts the prism forward and back and will definately give you infinity alignment.
This is how I got mine to align properly. Very little movement will be needed and desired so that you don't throw the rest of the system way out of adjustment.
after adjusting the prism go back to the eliptical screw and start all over.
Have fun, it'll take a few tries but it's pretty exciting when it all starts coming together.
Please leave a new thread up top so I can see how you did when you do it.
