My assumption is that the film
: plane of the RH-10 is the same as the gg, therefore I
: should be able to focus on the gg, remove it, attach
: the RH-10 and expect it to be in focus. Is my logic
: faulty?
None that I can find. That's the theory at least.
: Also, I have heard lots of references to pre and post
: Anniversary. Would someone be so kind as to explain
: what is the significance of this reference.
While using several different names the company we all love was officially established in 1890. In 1940 they came out with the all new and improved version of the Speed Graphic, officially called the Anniversary Speed. Previous to this the model was called simply the Speed Graphic, even though it went though some major revisions from 1912 to 1940. Historians have called the Speed Graphics made from 1912-1928 "Top Handle Speeds" and the ones from 1928-1939 we call "Pre-Anniversary"
In 1947 They introduced the Pacemaker series of cameras, while I've never heard them called it these would be Post Anniversary.
