I've pretty much assumed he used more than one camera of the years. The one I remember him with was a Pre-anniversary Speed, 4x5. These should be had reasonalby cheap -$100 or so, the focal plane shutter will be shot but the front shutter will be what you need anyway.I'm not sure about the flash, I'll have to do some checking.
