Your compur shutter, if it has a connection you can connect to, should handle electronic flash without a problem at all speeds. Take the lens and lensboard off the camera, hook up the flash, open the diaphragm wide and set the lens on top of the flash. Trip the shutter. If the light comes through, you have it! If not find the lever that might say 'M' 'F' or 'X' and set it to 'X'. The other settings are for flash bulbs. In many cases you will be able to see the edges of the shutter blades at the edge of the aperture. If they are not too far in this is not a problem. Otherwise it can be easily corrected by a qualified repairman. Have Fun!
