I'm not familiar with the Cokin P system, but I can tell you this:
Series VI (6) thread is a 44 (forty-four) mm thread. If you can
locate the appropriate-size step-ring, this might be your answer.
For example, I purchased (from the inevitable "filter merchants" at
camera shows) 44-49, 44-52, and 44-55 step-rings. They aren't
common, but they DO exist. In my particular situation, using Optar
lenses in Graphex no 1 and 2 shutters on my Century Graphic, the
44-49 combination works best. The larger the filter, the greater is
the visual (and for my stubby fingers, also the tactile)
interference with the settings on the front of the shutter. I have
no problem with vignetting with this set-up using any of the
Optars: 65, 101, and 203mm, in 6x7 (2 1/4" x 2 3/4" format). Don't
think you'd have a coverage problem with this step-ring/filter
combo using the 90 on the 4x5, straight on, but I'm not sure how it
would behave with front rise. Hope this helps.
