The Century came with a self cocking shutter with a Tripotar. you might want to check the Steve Grimes website He has lots to say on current self cocking shutters.

The solenoid can be activated from long distances. You'll need some batteries and a switch, the best bet is a Graflite flash. Most of the old diagrams show beyond about 10 feet it would be best to use 4 cells and beyond 20 feet use a 6v lantern battery.
