When it comes to tripods for a 4x5 bigger is better. I have had a Quick Set High Boy IV for 30 years and it still works great. I recently purchased on Ebay a Quick Set Sampson with dolly wheels for use in my home studio. What ever the brand you need a sturdy unit, to minimize camera shake. Yes, with the Graphic View you could get by with a simple tripod, not having a head but, will mean you have to adjust the legs to get the camera level (this can be a pain in the neck!).
I prefer having the 3way head to be able to tip the tripod sideways, this helps level the horrizon, when on uneven ground and is easier to setup.
