Take piece of cardboard with a 4x5 hole in it and hold it 150mm in front of your eye. Presto: 150mm viewfinder. Hold it 90mm out: 90mm viewfinder. 200mm away: 200 mm viewfinder. Of course you have to put something near your eye to use as a sight to make sure you're not looking through the hole from anywhere except centered in back of it. Doesn't this sound a lot like your missing viewfinder? I once made a sportsfinder for a 620 box camera out of a coathanger this way: 6x9cm wire frame at the lens plane, peephole at the film plane, all from one piece of artfully bent wire glued to the side of the camera.

Therefore, make the wire frame 4x5 inches, and mount it up front however you can.

: Can anyone give me some exact dimensions for the wire
