I've successfully used Gaffer tape, but Bookbinding tape is what you want. A list sever I'm on was talking about the subject and I think Calumet is stocking Book binding tape. Light Impressions and Bostick & Sullivan are other places I'd look.
Then Just cut and tape. Remember that it's the wood that's the light trap not the tape.
