Hello:
I have an older side-rangefinder Pacemaker Crown
Graphic 45 with the body release that actuates a cable
that trips the shutter release. This has worked fine up
to now. It seems that some spring is either broken or
missing in the mechanism, as the body release will not
spring back to its normal position after actuating the
shutter trip lever.
The trip mechanism on the lens board seems to have its
own spring-loaded mechanism, and this seems to work
fine (one can depress the tripper, and it springs
back). On other Graphics, the body release seems to
have its own spring, but I removed the metal cover
bezel and found nothing.
Is there supposed to be a spring in the body release
chamber? If not, where is the spring that causes the
body release to return?
Any advice would be appreciated.
