wide and 1 9/16" long. Round one end to a 3/8" radius. At 7/16"
from the rounded end is a hole threaded 1/4-20. This receives the
screw in the tripod head. At 5/8" from the other end is a hole that
clears a 1/4"-20 thread. One side has that hole counter-bored to
receive the flat head of a 1/4"-20 screw. this screw attaches the
plate to the camera. When attached, the head must be flush with the
bottom of the plate in order to fit on the tripod head. On the
factory plate their is a small ring pressed into the recess to make
the screw captive but that wouldn't be necessary to make a working
plate.
